Quick Tips for Orlando
Travelers Visiting Harry Potter Theme Park
Harry Potter Theme Park,
also referred to as the Wizarding World of Harry Potter
is one of the most recent features of the Universal Orlando
Florida. It was formally opened for public visits in 2010
and since Day 1, countless of visitors from around the world
come to the place, where a lot of exciting Wizarding
activities await inside.
Because of its fame, it
becomes typical to see the park very crowded, everyday. So,
if you are planning to take your family to the magical world
of Harry Potter, be sure to consider the following tips.
1. Be on the park
early. Because
the Harry Potter Theme Park is extremely popular, you have
to expect plenty of company going in there. For you not to
find any trouble waiting in long line, be sure to arrive
early in the park. It would be best if you will be there
when it opens, so you can take full advantage of riding the
Forbidden Journey attraction without waiting on lengthy
queue. One advantage of arriving early at the theme park is
avoiding peak hours. The park has a tendency to close during
peak hours later in the day, so you better be early.
2. Take advantage of
Bypass Line-Ups Offer.
For those who cannot be at the park early, taking advantage
of the Bypass Line-Ups offer is another alternative. The
Universal Studio theme park is giving guests an opportunity
to bypass the line-ups in three ways -- (a) Getting free
"Universal Express" access to famous rides by staying at a
Universal Orlando Resort, (b) purchasing a Univesal Express
PLUS pass and (c) taking a VIP tour at a premium price.
3. Avoid over-crowded
shops. Go and
shop to where there is less crowd. The Harry Potter theme
park contains a lot of shops ranging from favorite books,
wands, t-shirts and other merchandise for sale. If you go
shopping, avoid shopping on small shops. A much bigger store
like Filch's Emporium of Confiscated Goods and those in the
lower areas of Hogwarts Castle would be a better option for
shopping.
4. Choose to buy a
wand at the Owl Post shop instead of Ollivanders.
Buying a wand inside Harry Potter Theme Park is somewhat
part of completing the entire theme park experience. Most of
the crowd would head to Ollivanders to purchase a wand and
end-up to a long line and lengthy wait time because only a
few dozen can fit inside the shop. As a better alternative,
purchase a wand at Owl Post Shop accessible through the
adjoining Banges and Dervish shop or through its own
exterior door. The place is more convenient, with a wider
space for shopping.
5. Stay there until
dusk. To make
the most of your Harry Potter theme park tour, try to stay
there until dusk. This is highly recommended especially
during higher attendance periods. When the parks stay open
later, majority of the crowds are gone, so you can do
whatever you want, ride your favorite rides several times,
without any hassle. Above all, during the night, you will
see and feel more of the magical ambiance in the park. This
is a great way to end the day before you head back to your
abode.
Staying in an ideal abode
while in Orlando, as portrayed by the surrounding vacation
houses can also add-up to making the most of your tour.
